Financial Growth Through Strategic Learning

We built this program after working with dozens of Australian businesses who kept asking the same question: how do we actually apply financial strategy in real time? Not theory. Not textbooks. Just practical frameworks you can use when making decisions that matter.

Starting June 2026, we're running cohorts designed for business owners and managers who want to understand the financial side without drowning in jargon.

What You'll Actually Learn

This isn't about memorizing formulas. It's about recognizing patterns, asking better questions, and building confidence in financial conversations.

Financial Decision Frameworks

Most business owners wing it when evaluating opportunities. We teach you structured approaches that work whether you're reviewing a vendor contract or planning expansion.

You'll learn how to weigh trade-offs, spot hidden costs, and communicate financial reasoning to partners or stakeholders. These frameworks came from real situations—merger discussions, equipment purchases, hiring decisions.

Cash Flow Reality

Revenue looks good on paper until you realize your biggest client pays 90 days late. We focus heavily on cash flow management because it's where most businesses stumble.

Expect practical exercises using anonymized real business data from Australian companies.

Reading Between Lines

Financial statements tell stories if you know what to look for. We'll show you how to spot warning signs and opportunities that aren't obvious at first glance.

How the Program Unfolds

Six months. Cohort starts June 2026, runs through November. We meet weekly online, with optional monthly in-person sessions in Sydney and Melbourne for those who can make it.

Months 1-2: Foundation Building

Financial language, statement analysis, and basic frameworks. We start with your current business situation and build from there. Expect homework that involves analyzing your own numbers—it gets real fast.

Months 3-4: Strategic Application

Now we apply frameworks to growth scenarios, risk assessment, and resource allocation. You'll work through case studies based on actual Australian businesses (details changed for privacy). This is where theory meets practice.

Months 5-6: Advanced Integration

Final phase focuses on your specific challenges. Small group work, personalized feedback, and developing financial strategies for your next 12-18 months. Some participants bring their accountant or business partner to these sessions.

Built for Real Business Context

We designed this program after noticing that most financial education either assumes you're becoming an accountant or treats you like you need everything simplified to the point of uselessness. Neither approach works for business owners.

Small Cohorts

Maximum 25 participants per cohort. We've found this size allows for actual discussion without turning sessions into lectures. You'll get to know the other business owners, which often leads to valuable connections.

  • Weekly 90-minute live sessions with Q&A
  • Private discussion forum for cohort members
  • Access to session recordings for 12 months
  • Optional peer review groups for homework

Industry-Relevant Examples

We pull cases from retail, services, manufacturing, and tech sectors across Australia. Previous cohorts appreciated seeing how financial principles apply differently depending on business model.

  • Case studies from businesses with revenue ranging $500K to $50M
  • Analysis of both successful and struggling companies
  • Guest sessions with CFOs and financial controllers
  • Real financial documents (anonymized) for practice analysis

Flexible Participation

Life happens. All sessions are recorded, and we structure homework with flexibility in mind. That said, you'll get much more value if you show up live when possible—the discussion is where real learning happens.

  • Choose your own case study topics when relevant
  • Monthly one-on-one check-ins with instructors
  • Option to continue with advanced cohorts later
  • Lifetime access to updated program materials

Who This Works For

Most participants are business owners with 2-15 years operating experience, annual revenue over $300K, and a decent grasp of their numbers already. We're not teaching basic bookkeeping—we assume you have that handled or outsourced.

This program helps when you're ready to move beyond survival mode and start making strategic financial decisions with confidence. If you're still figuring out QuickBooks basics, this might be premature.
